    Hey All,
This winter my ice fishing group is switching our outing from Upper Red Lake. We are strongly considering Wishbone Resort on Cass Lake. I’m looking for any reviews of the resort, or the lake, or both really. Any info would be appreciated. We are planning on the second weekend in January, and targeting walleye and maybe perch.
    Thanks,
    Dan

I have been working for Wishbone for many years as an electrical contractor, these guys are the best to work for and run a great opperation. The cabins are all newer neat and super clean. The lodge has a nice bar and they put out good food as well as a buffet. Ron and His dad run a good opperation and keep you on fish. They used to own Cyruses on LOTW so they have been in the industry for a long time. If the Casino is you thing htat is only 5-6 mile away as well and Bemidji is just 12 miles for more places to eat etc… In my opinion you will not be disapointed. They are building a new cabin this year to replace an older one so possibly we will cross paths. Good luck in your decision.

I have been staying at Wishbone since 2006 open water fishing but I haven’t hard water fish with them. Great people very clean cabins. Every year they are improving the resort. Ron plows the road out from the north shore and he is the only way to get out. You have to stay at Wishbone to fish. Either the houses he has or stay in the cabins. You don’t stay there you don’t get on the ice. Hopes this helps.
