Wiring Technician Needed

I didn’t want to hijack the other thread, so starting my own.

I don’t use this boat with the trolling motor, primarily we ski and tube with it, and when we do fish with it, I don’t use the trolling motor. Recently, we just added a grandbaby, and have decided a pontoon is more practical for us, so the Fish/Ski is going to be sold. I removed the two 12 volt deep cycle batteries two seasons ago, certain that I would remember the proper way to connect them when it was time chased Well now it’s time, and I don’t have a clue.
The trolling motor is 24 volts and the batteries are each supposed to be connected to an on-board charger, the starting battery runs the bilge and livewell pumps as well as lighting & stereo and is on a separate bank of the on-board charger (3 bank charger). I think I know how it should be connected, but I don’t know what is what, and I’m not able do any testing. Running two batteries in series means neg terminal of battery A should be connected to pos terminal of battery B and connected accessories should be connected with the pos to battery A pos and the negative to battery B neg.

I tried two configurations that looked likely, but nothing. The trolling motor worked perfectly when removed two seasons ago, batteries have been indoors on a tender since then, and show a full charge, they were new at that time.

Long story short, do we have a go to guy in the east metro or western WI area that is familiar with boat/trolling motor wiring?

If it doesn’t work booking it up correctly then the batteries are bad or the TM took a dump.
