    LEM MaxVac® 1000 Vacuum Sealer SKU: 1088B
    or
    ARY VacMaster PRO 380 MFR #: PRO380 (876380)

What is important to me is:
Repetitive sealing without waiting for the machine to cool down
Accepts wide bags of 14″ to 16″
    Has bag storage with cutter
    Prefer Stainless Steel finish but,,,

    Not concerned:
Whether it is single or dual piston pump
    Multi Voltage
FoodSaver/GameSaver has nothing I want now.

I have no experience with either but Amazon reviews are pretty reliable in my experience, and they are both well reviewed. The ARY seems to have quite a few lemons though, so make sure you buy it from somewhere that a return is easily accomplished.

Ya BW, I’ve read the reviews and as many from different sources on 4 different machines. I boiled it down to these two for various reasons. I’m leaning towards the LEM.

I have quite a bit of LEM in the basement. The 3 main items that separate the 2 for me is:
#1 Lem has a single piston pump, VM is a twin with a slightly higher vacing ability.
#2 VM has a higher failure rate with a review rate of the 1,2 rating vers 4,5 @ about 40 to 60 % respective.
#3 VM stated they did not seal moist foods well. Might be due to the much quicker vac rate?
#4 VM has the wider capacity by 2″ but I easily work around that with a second angled seal before the vac and seal.

Oh ya LEM is a 5 year warranty. Parts are plug and play unless it would require being sent back to Westchester OH.

I have a sportsman’s food saver and have been happy with it over 5 years. $300.00 unit and does a good job on repetitive seals.

Lots of different brands and products, but on wet sealing I think they all can have an issue now and again. I seal all my venison whether cut meat or sausage/jerky and also seal all my fish, raw and smoked. Anything that’s going to have a lot of moisture will get a half a paper towel folded to fit snug across the width of the sealing bag right at the end of the food, then sealed with it in place. Does nothing to the quality of the food and goes a super long way in keeping the moisture from the seal.

If I am still hunting when this current unit decides to die I plan to get a chamber vacuum sealer. A friend has one and the bag material is substantially less expensive and the sealing capabilities are outstanding. The unit he has is a $500.00 unit but its almost impossible to get a bad seal in it wet, dry or otherwise.
