I am not looking for charity, just a good running motor at a fair price. $500 budget that can be stretched a little. The background to this search is this: My brothers only son has a boat left to him from his dad. His father died of cancer last year. His mother died of heart failure 5 years ago. The boat was stored at my uncles farm while my brother was sick. My uncle was old and also passed away leaving the farm empty. I picked up the boat over the summer only to find the motor stolen off the back. My mom, sister and myself want to replace the motor for a Christmas present since the boy was upset about the motor being stolen “from the only thing left from my dad” He is 17 and a very well adjusted young man considering his circumstance and he loves to fish and I want to make this right for him. Any help in finding a good running dependable motor would be greatly appreciated.
