I’m sure it has been discussed before, but looking for recommendations on what brand transom ratcheting straps people have had good luck with. Never had this style that you attach to the trailer before so going to make the switch after one of my cam locking ones broke this past weekend when going to strap it down. Luckily had a spare strap on hand.

The fishing boat has “Boat Buckle” branded ones that work fine. I could probably oil them a bit more than I do but they don’t give me any issues. They were on the trailer when I purchased the boat.

The tritoon has “Draw Tite” branded ones that also work fine. I installed these myself and they seem like they will last as well

Several friends have went with the Boat Buckle G2 and have been really happy with them. They are a must on my next boat.

I’ve had the Boat Buckle on previous boats with zero issues. Current boat came without retractable tie downs, I was at Scheels and picked the version they stock (EPCO) and they did not make it a full season.

I’ve switched to Boat Buckle, they are probably G2’s but I don’t remember for sure.

I’ve had a pair of Boat Buckles for 16 years. The only issues have been caused by me not lubing them often enough.
