Towtector on ram truck

    Bought new ram truck and have a towtector off old truck. Anyone have one on newer ram with dual exhaust out the back. Does exhaust get to hot or are they ok on them

    Too hot,it will melt. You can order a kit to put in cutouts where the exhausts are.

    When I ran mine I just ran a heat shield. Never melted it. But I ended up doing the cut outs on it because it pushed my exhaust sound back. I have a full Flowmaster exhaust and it would drown the cab a little.
    The cut outs were easy to install and cheap.

    Are the cutouts from ram or aftermarket

    The exhaust outlets are from Towtector. I have a towtector on on my RAM with dual exhaust with dual exhaust outlets and I like it. All you do is cut it out and install the metal exhaust outlets. It’s easy to do and it works well.

    They work great on my dual exhaust Ram, like Karry said, the install is pretty straightforward.
