    I have two Shimano Stradics that are running rough and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place that provides reel repair?

    Maybe, I know Vados bait has a guy. I thought one of the guys that closed Wayzata bait down was still doing it, I think Gim had his contact info

    Nothing super close, I’d have to ship it either way, so figured I’d inquire with others who may have been provided good service. Sometimes a good referral is worth an extra few bucks shipping.

    It’s been a few years but I always sent my Shimano reels straight to Shimano service department for cleaning and repair. It was like $25 per reel and not very fast turnaround, but always had a great experience. Even got a couple curado 300s replaced for like $25 after I trashed them fishing big muskie baits. No idea if they still do the service program, but I’d look into that for sure.

    If you plan on shipping I recommend Robert Haik Reel Repair, 1128 E 67th St
    Richfield,MN,55423 (612)869-2890. He has been doing it for a long time, is very good and reasonably priced. He used to handle the reel repairs for the Twin Cities Gander Mountain stores.
