I like to target vehicles that are 4-5 years old and run them up to 100-150K miles

Same here, maybe up to 7. Preferably with 65-75k miles on them.

Sounds like the perfect time to look at ridgelines waytogo

I just don’t want to deal with all the attention that that kind of “Look-at-Me! Look-at-Me!” chick magnet truck attracts. And (so I’ve heard), it’s always the bad, bad girls that are attracted to the Ridgeline guys. If you know what I mean.

Do they really do that if you didnt buy it there? I always thought that was their biggest money maker was service.

Has it always been a problem? No. But on one recall deal, I got put in the back of the line and the a-hole service manager outright told me that he liked to take care of “his customers” first. So it’s one of those things, it’s not a problem until it’s a problem.

Hopefully with a Toyota, it would be a non-issue.

Dealerships vary widely in their service recommendations … some go digging and recommend repairs that are absolutely unnecessary, others must lack certified mechanics because time to schedule is long.

I would highly recommend Burnsville Toyota and also marqaurt in Chippewa falls. Bought a car in Burnsville and was extremely satisfied, and had service done in Chippewa falls with great experiences. I would avoid Rochester. Had mixed service experience there and sales.

    Appreciate all the suggestions.

We’re going to look at the 4Runner and the new Land Cruiser. I’ve never spent any time in the new version of either one of these vehicles, so I need some time to really look them over. I like that both have a hybrid system. The biggest disappointment for me in all the SUVs I’ve owned is the mileage sucked. Hoping to improve on that.

If your after gas mileage, the 4runner isnt where its at. Unless you are looking at the new generation. My wife loves hers though, minus the gas mileage. The shiney new cruiser sits in the driveway unless the family is with her. 16.9 avg in the 15 4 runner.
