Had a chance to check out the new “River Boat Grill” on pool 2 this weekend. Located on the Harriet Island Riverfront. (Down town no-wake zone just upstream from the Wabasha bridge on the public docks. Where the old No Wake Café was)

Great location where a guy can tie off the boat and walk right into a place to eat while keeping an eye on the boat! We were there for breakfast. Seated on the open air deck of the old tug turned restaurant. Unlike the up scale No Wake café, this place was laid back and casual. Food was good, but will cost ya a little more than a stop at Perkins. The bar didn’t open till noon, so I didn’t get a chance to check that out.

Looking forward to this place staying open through the winter. Just a 10 minute cruise upstream from the airport. Should be a good stop for a beer and bloody while warming up on those January afternoons!

Awesome, I drove by the place the other day, and was wondering if could tie off somewhere and stop in, I didn’t have much time to explore the options that day, so I only cruised by (slowly ) Is it pretty clear where exactly you can tie off? I’m always leary about tying off in the wrong area. Maybe I’ll swing by today, gotta pick the wife up from downtown st.paul anyways.

    Jon,

Thanks for the info. I’m sure that place will come in handy some cold day this winter!

I just tied off right there in front of the place. Looks like a first come, first serve kinda thing. There are cleats all the way down the docks.
