Just when we had the river down to fall water levels, over lock and dam #1 it was runnig at below 8000cfs it is now runnig at over 15000, and jumped in what, four days? What a way to ruin a good time.

It does keep things challenging doesn’t it? Went out yesterday after a week and a half hiatus to catch up at work. Everything on pool 4 has changed again. Fish are being caught though it is a bit more work to get them tempted in the murkiness. As always, when the water is up, there is a plus. Other than having to really pay attention to the water for debris, you can move around anywhere at will. Running a big boat like I do, it evens the playing field a bit when even I can get into the remote “hot spots”

This weekend just ending saw the water levels up 5 ft. from the previous weekend plus strong winds too. Made for a very tough bite.

One option would be to go to http://www.fishthelake.com and check out the different lake forums and try a lake for a change and then by the following week the river might be back to normal.

I tried that this past weekend, was on an east metro lake, fun to be on the water, but flat water is not nearly as nice as moving water.

I know what you mean. I too love the river. How about a report on how you did on the lake? Thanks, Bill
