Bayview Pickling Company has discontinued thier pickled turkey gizzards permanently. I emailed and got their picelist and product list and also called them. I’ll be in Milwaukee for the weekend and would have stopped in to their place for an order I was going to make. They told me the gizzards are discontinued permanently.

It’s almost un-American. These have been in bars for years. I’ve always had these at my house. Went over well deer hunting and all kinds of occasions.

I’m down to a jar and a half. Now I’ll need to look for a new supplier. Any ideas? I’ve tried making them and chicken gizzards pickled. Not the same.

I didn’t know people actually bought and voluntarily ate them for home consumption jester

Ate a couple back in the day for losing a bet at the bar, it was enough for a lifetime rotflol

I have access to turkey gizzards. Problem is they come boxed 40# frozen bulk. Not retired yet to jump into something like this. Im set up to do it but no time to do it.

The things we will have time for in retirement are different for you and me, that’s fer dang sure.

How do you even eat one? Just raw dog it down the throat?
