On Facebook posts Mohr said that he’s “banned for life” seven people on more than one team for cheating during the tournament, not just Smith, but he didn’t elaborate. Mohr also promised to privately share the names with fellow tournament directors.
People no longer disappoint me. Values are a thing of the past.
I also find it comical that he still did it even though it is stated that “all prize-winning fish are cut open and examined to discourage exactly the kind of cheating Smith is accused of”. I’m assuming all the tourney anglers are aware of this but maybe not to try and catch cheaters. Either way, people are dumb.
He probably would have been fine if he had just stuffed them with whole perch. The cut in half walleye was the dead giveaway. Fortunately most cheaters and criminals ain’t the brightest bunch.
You’d think tourneys would just go to length instead of weight to avoid all this cheating, speculation and drama.
