Saw this the other day, Grace Lake near Bemidji, A loud speaker gets activated with every movement, warning you that your being photographed and take care of your weeds and water, I imagine there are other lakes also, I know one thing If I lived near this access, the speakers would mysteriously breaking down

Washington Lake near Dassel has one as well. I believe it is a MNDNR thing. Mildly annoying. Good thing is the sensor’s range is pretty small.
Sounds like an overzealous lake association, makes me want to go check out Lake Grace next time I’m in the area!

They cannot ticket or fine you based upon a photo.
That said, they can watch you and if they are watching the cameras remotely they may notify Law enforcement that may then locate and stop you, if found in violation then ticket you.

Curious: Is this a MnDNR owned Access or is it owned by a County or Township?
Who is operating that? Doesn’t sound like a dnr plan?
I agree, does not sound like the MnDNR is operating it, thus question how did they get permission to place this on Public (State Owned) Property?
Should question in Minnesota the MnDNR Parks and Trails Supervisor for the area and find out whom is operating this and whom gave them permission to install this on Public Property?
