Mille Lacs Lake meeting is May 6
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resource invites anyone interested in fisheries management of Mille Lacs Lake to an informational meeting in advance of the fishing opener.
At the meeting, Minnesota DNR staff will share updates, answer questions, and encourage discussion about the status of the fishery, the process of setting regulations, system change within the lake, 2025 creel survey results, and other topics. Annual meetings with the public such as this were planned as an ongoing communication strategy in the DNR’s Mille Lacs Lake management plan.
The meeting is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Izaty’s Resort, 8303 Tuxedo Road, Onamia, MN 56359.
