What’s the difference between the 2?
the 485c has “color kill” or whatever they called that and the 385c doesn’t?

Is that it and is it that big of a deal?

385c does have color kill and comes with 75′ of cable…the 485c has only 50′ of cable but now includes a sunshade, other than that, I don’t think there’s any difference?

I was interested in this as well, have you figured anything else out since posting? As far as I can tell they are the same thing, but the 385 has the longer cable. I was able to find the user manual for the 385 by searching on google and it says it does come with a sun shroud.

Longer cable is correct and the 385 did come with a sun shroud

It was $50 cheaper than the 485 so I bought one. Was just wondering what the 485 had that the 385 didn’t…

Tried to order one from Glens Army Navy for $318 this morning, but someone beat me to it and received an email that my order was cancelled.
How has it worked for you? The only thing it doesn’t have that I thought would be nice is the relative direction feature, though I am not sure how well this actually works.

The SD series has on-screen Temp, Voltage, Direction and Depth, they all work very well and come in very handy at times…If the Depth or Direction info seem to be off, you can re-calibrate them within the settings menu…You can also turn these features off the screen when you don’t want the clutter. I buy used so I got my SD series camera for the same price as a new C series, the SD bonuses are nice to have, but not worth the price uptick if buying new imo…

Haven’t had a chance to try it out yet unfortunately

Bought it from Wally World of all places in Spirit Lake IA about a month ago for $349 and came with a battery and sun shield

Thought that was a decent deal until I got home and saw they were cheaper from Glens but as red89 said, they were out so I don’t feel bad. Just looking forward to trying it out maybe this Sunday or Monday
