Both of the Boys pulled horseshoes out of there asses today toast

Hank and I went to Wisconsin for the youth turkey hunt. Our first couple spots were a bust, but we kept at it and did some door knocking.

He ended up killing a beautiful mature bird a little before noon, his first tom ever!

Ben stayed home with Mom and shortly after sending them some pictures she sent one back

Apparently they had some luck of their own, because Ben pulled a $1,050 off a $100 at the Buffalo House lol

Funny side note, I have the Boys convinced that “they get to” eat the turkey nuts from their first mature Tom (like it’s a treat similar to a deer tenderloin) lol

We fried Hank’s bird’s balls up with brunch, along with the heart. The heart was seriously delicious, but Hank said the balls tasted like Jello and Hair Gel fried in bacon grease rotflol rotflol

He was gagging when he ate them, but he has Ben convinced they were awesome, and if Ben shoots a bird that he gets them (of course Ben said there’s no way that’s happening) mrgreen

    I seriously almost died!! Lol

It’s the little things in life that make it worth living

My parents taught me if you don’t have anything good to say just say nothing. It is apparent your parents raised a Richard Head !

Teaching kids how to gamble responsibly is a great thing to do. I am sure plenty of kids have never been exposed to it, so when they are someday, they will bet their way to the poor house. Nice job dad ! applause

Oh yeah because we know Brandon is just a awful father lol. Letting a kid crack open a pull tab or 2 at lunch is almost the work of the devil. Next thing you know it’ll be lots of cocaine and hookers by 13 years old.

Better they learn it from Dad than on the street or a dark alley! whistling

Seriously. Did your Dad ever let you drive the truck without a license? Maybe down the driveway to get the mail…. Did he let you have a tiny taste of beer before 21? Did he let you scratch a lotto for him to see if he won $1?

My kids get to do those things under my careful watch and teaching. We even talk about the dangers of each of those types of things when handled incorrectly. You’re absolutely right, it’s great parenting.

My son enjoys opening a “tadpole” or two as he used to call them. Throw me in the ring for bad dad of the year also. From what I seen Bman does a good job with those boys. They tying jigs again this spring?

Pretty rude to assume he didn’t teach him at a much younger age. Kid is just entering his early pulltab investing prime…obviously. rotflol

I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever been more excited to reply to a stranger on the internet jester

Your assumption couldn’t have been farther off.

My kids are in fact 10 years old, not 12, and have been gambling since the age of 5.

They are more capable, sensible and responsible than a lot of adults.

Ben offered up ALL of his winnings the other day to pay adult bills, because he knows “they don’t just pay themselves”…ZERO BULL$HIT there buddy…

They stare up at the stars and know they’re not the center of the universe, and there’s something greater than us all.

They can recommend and deploy an eight rod salmon spread.

They have better gun safety/handling than most adults.

They have more hours in command of a Great Lakes vessel than most adults.

They know if you want to cut your wiener off, that something is wrong with your brain and not your weiner.

They know meat comes from the lakes, woods, oceans and fields…not the grocery store.

They have an outstanding respect for nature and all the beauty she has to offer.

They pick up a candy wrapper or beer can on the lake without being told, and shame those who left it.

They can fillet a fish, trap a coyote, light a fire, build a shelter, navigate the woods, know where north is, know that the sun wakes up in the east and rests to the west, point out the continents, oceans and many countries on a globe.

They can change a tire, back up a trailer and replace a dirt bike clutch. Tie a Bowline, Palomar, Cleat Hitch and Willis Knot.

They know what to do in an emergency, how to use a fire extinguisher (PASS), perform basic first aid, and operate an AED.

They know if a car jacker ever tries to steal a vehicle they’re in, to announce that there’s kids inside…If the thief takes off with them, they know it’s perfectly okay to stab them in the neck with their pocket knives.

They know that NOBODY is allowed to touch their butt, balls or weiners.

They know that one day that rule will change, and why…

And most importantly, my kids would absolutely kick your little cupcake’s asses in poker waytogo
