I’m not sold on this being a good thing. I’m certainly not calling out all motorcycle drivers either. The percentage of bad drivers mostly stays the same regardless of the type of vehicle they’re operating.
If I’m stuck in traffic and decide to move from the left lane to the center, but have to do so a couple feet at a time, then pausing between lanes during stop n go…. Say a motorcycle comes up splitting behind me. Am I know impeding him? Can he make a complaint if he wants to? What if I’m stop and go creeping along and move over for a wide load, and I’m now riding the paint on the opposite side. Am I liable for blocking? At what point does the motorcycle have the right of way? When he’s 1 car back? 2-3-4-10? It’s a can of worms. The day I get my mirror broke off by the jack wagon that feels everyone is out to get him….. flame

I understand safety. I also understand that anyone riding a motorcycle chose to do so completely of their own free will and I don’t feel it necessary to make rules or exceptions for their decisions. We’re already watching for them regardless of how fast or small some might be. Now I need to worry and watch for them to roll within inches of my vehicle while I’m in tight traffic. No thank you.

Time to buy a couple dash cams for sure now.

It’s going to be interesting in heavy traffic when theres 2-3 bikes wedged up the middle and the light turns green.
