Not really, but thats how he starts his show “River Monsters”. Anyone a fan? He sure catches some interesting fish in interesting places. My favorite show was when he fished at Chernybol Russia to see if all the nuclear fall out morphed the fish into a freak species.

I also used to watch… but quite honestly, you can only watch a guy try to catch a fish for days, so many times… that and Mille Lacs was giving me my fix the last couple seasons of that. crazy

Has he ever caught the fish that ate the native children?

I’ve watched quite a few episodes. My favorite was the one about the nut eating fish called the pia??hema?? anyway the fish would eat nuts off certain trees when they dropped. And that’s not the only nuts they ate was documented. Ouch !!!

I watched 2 episodes. The first and the last.

It was about the man eating Sturgeon of NW Canada.

I like it but got burned out on it. All the drama and embellished story telling got old. I like it when he catches fish on his novice looking tackle though.

I’m like most others on here. I watched it quite a bit from probably about 2009-2012 or so, but haven’t watched it since. I enjoyed it, but it just got kind of repetitive and burned out on it.

Have to agree with a lot of you about the drama and the build up…BUT, on the other hand, there’s a guy who has managed to find a way to finance traveling the world over just so he can fish. In my book, that’s a little bit of genius. applause
