I have decided to add a dish to my permanent fish house. I have dish network at home. I did some searching on craigslist and it looks like dishes are pretty cheap. I also need to buy a receiver.

How hard are they to hook up and get aligned?

Anyone have any tips or Do’s and don’ts.

I talked to dish network and it’s only 7 bucks a month to add the receiver.

The problem is every time you move you need to realign. and realignment one time is a snap and the next time its a pain.my experiences any way. I’m considering a rv self aligning dish not cheap but sure are slick.

I believe with Direct TV and DISH I assume should be the same, you can input your zip code and it will give you azimuth readings as far as elevation and aligning the dish. If you have a smart phone, it should have the compass feature with azimuth.

On the other hand,,,,,,,, no need to move if your more interested in watching TV than fishing.
