We formed a committee last year to focus on improving the docks at both Roschen Park and Hok-Si-La in Lake City which are used by hundreds of anglers and pleasure boaters weekly. As many of you know – there is an immense need for better docks – as you can see by the attached picture. Well – the journey has started and our committee is in the process of raising $66,000, plus the City of Lake City is pitching in $33,000. We will have 2 new 60’ docks at 6’ wide at each of the public launches installed. One will be put in place in a couple months and the others the spring of 2026. Lots of fundraising activities in the works!
Best part is this is just phase 1. We have some amazing plans for the future too!!
