    Howdy,

My Mom has decided to get her bum knee replaced this August. Most everything she needs is on the same floor of her house, however both the front and back doors involve steps. Does anyone know of a place that rents wheelchair ramps or maybe where I could find plans to build one? Looking for some ideas.

    Thanks guys

If you build one, give me a call.
I love watching someone else work

Finding an unemployed carpenter these days shouldn’t be to hard. Just make sure they know the degree’s of slope that are required by law.

We made one out of 3/4″ plywood and used 2×4’s for supports on the “TOP SIDE” so the hoveround could not go over the edge.Put 2 holes in the lower end to drive metal stakes into the lawn next to the concrete sidewalk and a scrap of 2×4 underneath to butt up against the porch before anchoring to the lawn.8′ feet long works good for a 18 high porch but can easily be extended with a couple 8′ sheets for a higher staircase.Just put something like a concrete block under the center for support if it is temporary.
