Chris is out of surgery and is in ICU. He will be there for a day or two as there were some complications. Chris is still in need of your prayers so ”please” keep him before the Lord in prayer. It would be much appreciated. ”Thanks”, Bill

January 13, 2005 at 8:10 pm #336442Hang in there buddy! Got an open seat for ya when you back on your feet!
January 13, 2005 at 8:17 pm #336446Chris is out of the ICU and back in a regular room. He’s being visited by family and close friends today and looks to be doing well. I hope to be able to visit him tonight and will share more on his condition when I return.
January 13, 2005 at 9:05 pm #336459Thanks James!! Please tell him to get well and we can’t wait to have him back here at IDA!!!
January 13, 2005 at 10:44 pm #336494I just spoke with Tuck for about 5 minutes. He’s in decent spirits and seems to be doing OK. There’s a lot of pain from the surgery so he’s on medication to deal with that and he is understandably fatigued. I’m planning on visiting him tomorrow afternoon if anyone would like to join me to show some support. I’ll be going through Red Wing on the way to Hastings should someone want to hop in with me or meet me at Regina Medical. I’m thinking about 3 – 4 PM.
There’s talk of him getting out late this weekend if things go well. If not, he should be out by tuesday and make even be able to drop in here.
January 14, 2005 at 4:45 am #336581Praise The Lord!!! Prayers have been answered!
Great news!!!
Thanks for the update Bud. ALWAYS welcome great news like that.
Thanks, BillJanuary 15, 2005 at 5:53 pm #336836Dustin and I visited Chris last night for about 45 minutes. He’s looking pretty darn good for a guy with nearly 50 metal staples in his stomach and side. We were both quite surprised when we walked in his room and we found him standing next to his bed watching TV. His strength is returning and he is mentally sharp despite all the pain medication.
As soon as he’s able to take his pain medication orally and meet a couple other basic requirements they’re going to send him home to finish his recovery. There was talk of him getting out TOMORROW (sunday) to be home in time for the Viking’s game!
Chris’ last big worry is the results of his biopsies. They will not be done for a few more days – week. Once he gets those back and if the results are favorable, he feels he’ll be back on his feet and ready to roll in no time. His goal is to fish a couple of the late season perch tournaments on mille lacs.
January 15, 2005 at 6:23 pm #336840Thanks James!
Although he might not want to watch the Vikings play…might pop a few staples…
It’s great news Tuck…get the he// out of there…them nurses are mean!
January 16, 2005 at 1:20 am #336867Nate and I stopped in to see him this afternoon for an hour. He was standing up next to his chair watching football. He has to gain his strength back in order to get out of there and go home. Deb, his wife, is a nurse so he should do good at home. He was in good spirits and shared with us about what all happened and of course we talked fishing. The Lord sure has been with him through this we could tell as he looked pretty good. Thanks everyone for keeping him before the Lord in prayer and I ask that you please continue to do so as hes got alot of healing yet to do. ”Thanks”, Bill
