I actually don’t care what he says or does. If he keeps catching 15 touchdowns a season, I’ll deal with his childish temper tantroms occasionally. He gets so much press everytime he does something negative it sickens me. How much time/money has he donated to charities this year, can anyone answer this?? I have yet to see the Star Pukebune write an article on anything but the negative side of Randy Moss. I also think Randy likes to fuel the flames with the media. I know I would if they treated me the same way.

Go Moss, 3 TD’s this weekend!!!!!!

I agree jonh let him do his litle childish things. He is a great receiver and the press does focas on the negative things. I think he has gotten better than past years which is probally because he has matured alot more. Given the kind of attention he gets most of us probally would do a few stupid things too.

Moss is a great reciever,no doudt about that.
He gives some of his $ away? A big thank-you to Mr.Moss for helping others.First I’ve heard of it.The press likes to report on the negative side of sports alot more than the positve side.
Do you think Moss’s teammates like it when he walks off the field?Or when he said he does not play his hardest at times?

I know i would be fed up….Even at work (and i’m sure many can relate) I get upset when others don’t pull their weight or do their job….

His teammates SHOULD be getting upset….or at least trying to motivate him to be a “true” leader.

    thoughts?

You may not like it when others don’t pull their weight at work, but what do you do about it? Complain that saleman A is lazy, he only worked hard 2 months for this one large sale, but he did bring 2 million in revenue this year? The other 10 months he slacked off. The revenue happens to be about 35% of the revenue for the company? This is close to the % of touchdowns Moss caught compared to the rest of the receivers(i think, I didn’t look up the hard numbers).

I don’t think what he did will hurt the vikings in any way this weekend. As a matter of fact, I thought wow, what a poor sport when he left early and didn’t shake the other teams hand after the game. Do I think what he did hurt the team, in no way shape or form did it. Have you watched them the last couple weeks?? The team lost it’s fire to win a long time ago.

I blame Red McComb completely for trying to sink a franchise in a true football market. His team has his attitude.

Man you packer fans are going to be mad on Sunday!!

    Once again:

I don’t see anything wrong with what he said, and I don’t think it represents a bad attitude.

The fact is that Moss caught the winning TD pass, made a kick-butt move, and walked into the end zone. He won the game and insured a playoff appearance, only to have it called back due to a dumb dumb dumb penalty back at the line.

If someone took a year’s worth of my work, crapped on it, and lit it on fire with no hope of recovery, they’d be better off if I “walked off the field” – and you can take that to the bank.

(sorry for yelling, but apparently nobody heard the first time)

There’s a differece between Sales and IT support….We don’t create revenue…we are actually considered and expense….

What do I do? Not that this happens all the time, but i have taken concerns to my manager…

I didn’t see the play this thread is based on, i’m just speaking hypothetically

I personally disagree with all of you who will accept the boorish, selfish, lack of class behavior by professional athletes. Pro sports are destroying the essence of the game, be it basketball or football or hockey. The Randy Moss’s of the world are killing the game, I cannot stand to watch it any more. I wouldn’t go to the game on Sunday if you offered me free tickets.
The essence of the games are about playing with personal sportsmanship and learning to play as a team. Playing under control, emotionally and physically and playing the game with all your heart and soul. It is not about “ME” but about “US”. It started with all the high fiveing after each tackle and then the dances in the end zone after each score and it has culminated with walking off the field before the game is over. Moss should have stayed on that field and sucked it up along with his teammates. They played well and hard and that ending with Moss walking off cheapened the game. It was condoned by the coach and his fellow players; What a lack of leadership. I just cannot watch it anymore – it hurts my value system to see it played this way. What has happened to sportsmanship and love of the game? I think we as fans are as much at fault as the coaches and players. We continue to support the misbehavior of athletes (college and professional) both on and off the field. Maybe it is just another reflection of our society. I for one will not pay a red cent to support it. It is the only way I personally have to register my personal distaste for what sports have become.

I loved Corey Koskie’s ad in the St Paul Pioneer Press. That was a class act by a class athlete, who understands the essence of the game. Of all the sports, baseball still seems to hold on to some of the dynamics of the game. But it has slipped along with all the other sports. It is sad to see.

IMO I would rather have my kids see a boob at halftime
(without making a big deal about it)
than to have them see nasty attitude drama queens like
Moss, Mike Tyson, Dennis Rodman, Dale Ehernhert, etc.

First, I can’t believe we drew the vikes again. Second, Moss needs to have an education by say one of the defensive lineman. He thinks he is the man but he is all show. I would bet that he gets fat lazy and unproductive after his next contract. Oh yeah he is already lazy and unproductive.

Hey Slop, dont you like being called a cost center. I’m the director of the infrastructure team, and that’s all I hear. Your a cost center. Yet I’m fully responsible for the backup of all business critical data on the network, all the pc operations and anything in between that needs done. How can I be a cost center, without me an my team of “fireman” your business doesn’t function without us!! Whoa, sorry about the rant, must have touched a nerve on that one!!

Amen, Comanchero. Couldn’t have said it any better. It’s sickening what pro sports have come to. I’m amazed that ANY of you Viking fans stand behind this guy at all. What if he were an average player? He gets special treatment. If I were a Vikings fan, I’d cheer for the Packers Sunday.

When the reporter asked Moss why he said he would DO IT AGAIN, here is his direct quote, “When your frustrated as a person, you just never know what might happen”.

It’s too bad he was never taught how to not lose control. Good thing football players don’t pack 9’s on the field.

What a great roll model for our kids.

I think Comanchero hit it right on the head. I also think Moss should have been on special teams to recover the onside kick. They needed a miracle play, and Moss has the best hands and speed on the team. The Vikings never seem to try their best when the going is tough, and I can’t pull for a team like that anymore. I hope the Packers drop 50 on the Vikes this Sunday!

    Nice display of sportsmanship………..:(

I don’t condone Randy’s fits. I’d be okay if they made a decision to sit him out. But I don’t get to run the team and right now, Tice and Co. are going to try and salvage everything they can out of this disappointing season.

I got really ticked when Randy said he’s prone to do it again. That just says the man isn’t well thought. Why would you want to stir the pot with the source of your incomes, the public? That’s just dumb! If this is his mentality, he’s telling truth. He IS prone to do something that dumb again!

And while pro sports highlights some real works of art, they also skim over a bunch of truly classy guys. I’ll still support my team and watch pro sports because I don’t want the guys to suffer solely because of the twits that play along side of them. The fans can boycott the teams and the teams just get sold and move. Then we suffer too. I can’t agree with that. I’ll stick out the hard times in hopes of better ones.

In spite of Randy……….. Go Purple!!!

One thing I highly doubt Moss will do this weekend. His squirtin the referee with his water bottle along the sideline. Frozen slurpy anyone???? That was a real classy move also.

Figured that I’d try one more time to show some of you “Moss Fans” what kind of guy he is. Is all I have to ask is if he is so good, WHY ISN’T HE STARTING IN THE PRO BOWL?? Or better yet GOING? Oh yeah that is because fans, coaches, and sports writers vote on them. Just shows you everyone across the football world doesn’t like him and his crap. Oh and let’s not forget the little incident downtown TWIN CITIES. Who was then one to almost run over a cop and who is the one who had dope on him? I guess he is one I’d want for a role model for my kids and to have spend time doing charity with them too!

Here’s to you Randy! Hope your head gets taken off Sunday afternoon! or maybe the charter bus will run you over????

Still a fan, but I plan to do just what I’ve done all season when they play-something else.
