The Vikes can blow the rest of the games as far as I’m concerned. That would hopefully seal the deal on getting Tice and his Denny Green style football the hell out of Minnesota.

I think it’s time we start the Packer whoopin’ banter!!! GO VIKES!!! Northern Division Champs 2004

Hopefully Favre has one of his “I left my brain in cheesville” games!!! He has played very poorly the last two weeks, come on Favre go for the hat trick!!! To all my packer buddies:

it’s hard to get a good banter going knowing neither team will go far.You couldnt even combine the two teams and get one good team.Just a sad yr for the black and blue

This is true. All that matters this week is that the Vikes put a whupping on the Pack. This is very important. I am spend Christmas with my wife’s family and they are all Packer fans. There will be no holiday cheer for me if the Vikes lose. Of course, when they win, I’ll be spending Christmas day in a room full of Packer fans. The possibilities are endless.

    VIKINGS GOOD…. PACKERS BAD.

I couldn’t agree more. I am in the same position with the in-laws that you are. GO VIKES!

Well, the only good thing about the loss is maybe Mike Tice won’t be here next year. Every cloud has a silver lining.

I say the Vikes will win 27-21. Favre will throw two picks and fumble the ball twice. As long as Favre is in the game the Vikes have a shot at winning…..But hey, he has a bad thumb..again. I hate whining pusscakes. He is old and nothing more than a barely adequate quarterback.
Get over it Brett you are washed up. Retire and become an announcer like all the other over the hill quarterbacks.

That outta give you Packers fans something to talk about!!!!

This is what you wrote before the first Viking Packer game.
Do you honestly thnk Favre is that bad. This guy has the ability to get it done!
What was the deal with the viking recievers in the 2nd half. It’s sad when the national tv audience gets to see Culpepper runnin for his life while his receivers are lalligaggin down the field.
All in all it was a great game to watch because of the lack of defense on both side. The Packers aren’t going anywhere if they can’t tackle! Which they didn’t today!

I don’t watch very many football games [just can’t pry myself away from fishin stuff] but this was the best game I have ever seen for action and closeness. Except the ending was suppose to be switched around. If not for the two penalities against Minnesota I think we would of ended up far enough down field to kick a 3 pointer and win. But it just didn’t happen. But we need to back our team no matter what the outcomes are when they play as they are ”our” team.

    Thanks, Bill

Of course he is that bad. Yes the Pack squeaked one out today. But remember they will probably play against each other one more time this year….if the Packers make it that far. Next time it will be in the cold of Lambeau where the Pack has played horrible all year.
By the way, it sure is funny how the Packer fans come out of the woodwork when they win. Where was everyone last week??

    GO VIKES!!!!

The outcome of this one was planned by the NFL brass just like many other important games throughout the years. Why else would talented receivers like Burleson and Moss be dogging it when the game is on the line? Guess I’ll go back to pro wrestling.

man what are you smoking!…Planned .You should go back to wrestling. Here is a thought.Perhaps the vikes are just not that good. Just maybe they got beat by a better team. Not alot better but yes a better team.Or maybe you think the first game was planned

    Lenny,

since Brett Favre stepped onto the football field they have a better record then any team in the NFL. If that’s bad, what’s good.

I was at the game with my sister, dad and brother-in-law. We all agree it was the best game since the 98 win over the cardinals. The dome was as loud as I’ve ever heard it. Not nearly as many packer fans as normal, but still lots of green in the crowd. I was mad they lost, but glad I chose to go see one of the most entertaining games of the year.

So, since I was at the game, and they don’t give you squat for replays when in the dome. What was with the gift measurement in the first half. What did the Fox team have to say about it? What is the rule on that?? I don’t blame the loss on this, just curious.

I don’t think I’d be any worse, and I’d only need $500k for the gig.

What they pay Tice is not the issue (he did get a $300k raise though). The team is way under the cap. Red won’t spend what it takes. Of course he is trying to sell the team.

I’m not talking about Favre’s history or the team’s performance. I’m talking about Favre’s ability today..right now. He is washed up. Be happy guys, he had a nice run but it is over.
Let’s look at his stats the last two weeks.

Favre: 5TD’s, 4 INT, 3 FUMBLES….heck, he’s right up there with Manning (Eli Manning, that is). The difference being that Eli Manning has an upside to his future.

Against the Vikes, 396 yards passing, a win, and one interception. Not to bad. On the negative side you have a point; he does have his bad days and they can be terrible. But there is something special about the guy; good or bad he gives 100% on every play.

    YEAH, YOU DO!

This should get you going also, Lenny…. When Culpepper does his arm thing during the game….is he practicing his “traveling call” move for a basketball refereeing job on the side or is his trying out for the Viking cheerleading squad!

It all dont matter anyways. Both teams are going one and done anyways. And just like the Twins, who the heck remembers division champions anyways? Oh but you do get that big towel to hang in your stadium to remind folks I guess.
