There was very little, but it apparently was just enough. I got to see the last of the 4th quarter, man was I not very happy when I turned the game on in the car.

So does a good a$$ chewing from the coaches!!
I’ll take the win, but believe me, I don’t feel real good about it.

November 29, 2004 at 11:40 am #329357Chalk up another win for the Vikes. I thought they played a better overall game this week against the Jags although they will definitely have to shore up their run defense.
Moss came back but was somewhat less than effective. I think his leg is still not were it needs to be.
Next stop……Chicago Da Bears.GO VIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know you are good when your enemies can’t stop talking about you.
I still owe you a beer Slop Bass. We are going to have to hit the ice this winter and even up.

I wish they had traded him when they had the chance. I don’t think we’ll being seeing him in a Vikings uniform next year. At least I hope not!
November 29, 2004 at 2:13 pm #329377From what I read in todays paper, they not only benched Hovan but deactivated him. He did not suit up for the game and was not at the Dome yesterday.

Posts: 2294November 29, 2004 at 2:24 pm #329380I doubt if that means he’s done for the season. Every week we have to deactivate a couple players in order to get down to a game roster. We’ll probably see him back next week.
Hopefully this will shake his cage enough to get him to start earning his paycheck.

Or it will sour his poor attitude more, and he’ll sink even further. You think he’d be working his tail off seeing as this is a contract year for him. He just doesn’t seem to care at all.jldii
Posts: 2294November 29, 2004 at 4:36 pm #329415The Vikes had a chance to trade him just before the deadline, and didn’t. Thats really too bad, because considering the way he is playing now, I doubt he will get an offer from the Vikes and sign with someone else. At least if we had traded him, we could have gotten something in return!
November 29, 2004 at 6:48 pm #329444Here’s a shot of Hovan from Sunday. He looks a little down. Maybe he’ll play a little harder next time…..if there is a next time.
November 30, 2004 at 6:41 am #329603Hey Slop:
What do you think the chances are we can get Hovan and get that old fart Favre to fire him up for use on the Viqueens next year. We’ll be able to get him for the minimum and he will be the spark that takes us to the Super Bowl in 2006!!!
LOL LOL LOL!!!

If you think Favre will play in 06, your delusional.
I do hope you get Hovan though, then Slop will have lay off him!

Remember that Super Bowl 2006 is only one season away. I think Farve can make it that long. My biggest concerns are keeping that O-line together another year.
Just a crazy thought (Hovan playing for the Pack), after all, Steele recovered that fumble and he was once a Vike!!!

November 30, 2004 at 8:50 pm #329687I hope you guys are right. Even though he is stinkin’ Packer(did I mention I hate the packers), I think he’s one of the best ever. As long as the pack goes 0-2 vs. the vikes that season, I’m cool with him getting one more SB.
I think with all the trials he has had in his life lately, he may hang up football and enjoy life more???
December 1, 2004 at 12:18 pm #329781I hope Tice is reminding the players of the pathetic game they played in Chicago last year. It would be nice to see the Vikes come out and pound on the Bears, something like what Favre and company did to the Rams. Nice game for you cheeseheads.

Go Vikes!

Can Tice remember back that far?
You may have a point, carpking. Tice doesn’t come off as the brightest bulb on the tree. I think he has the Purple’s attention this week. It’s crunch time.
I was wathcing the local news last night. The Vikings were doing some charity work at a hospital in the Twin Cities. One of the patients was a boy, probably 11-12 years old. A player was telling him how the Vikes will win in Chicago this week. The boy stopped the player in mid sentence and said “well you didn’t win there last year!”
I just about fell off the couch.

Go Vikes!!
