I hope TO takes the beating Johnson got this weekend. One about McNabb, he won’t stand in the pocket like Vinny_i_got_concrete_shoes Testaverde. I think if Daunte plays well again, we will roll over the birds, 27 to 13.

    Go Vikes!!!!!!

Who are you guys kidding….you know Moss will be crying that he isn’t getting the ball. They’ll start wasting their time throwing to him and Randy “My hands are BUTTER STICKS” Moss will drop the ball or fumble. Then the next thing you know everyone is fighting and it looks like an A’s game with players beating people in the stands with chairs. Oh wait…the pro wrestler is gone Maybe they will be able to pick up Steve Austin to get a pass rush on the Vikes….Only the season will tell

I was waiting for some Packer fans to jump in. Moss has a new attitude this year, he is saying all the right things. He was even throwing some blocks Sunday afternoon! The team fighting stuff left with Chris Carter. And by the way, Brock Lesnar was just added to the practice squad today.

I’m not a Cheesehead fan either….I just watch games and laugh at the overpaid babies. I’m a fantasy football player watcher. I could care less about any team….

If I remember right Moss had a different attitude last year because he was their “go to guy” who dropped the ball….

Oh and congratulations on having a pro wrestler on your team…usually they start in the NFL first as babies then the go to wrestling…So Brock is really backwards….Can’t you guys throw anything else out here?????

Oh yeah Slop you mean “Whovan” not Hovan….He doesn’t get the spotlight like baby Moss….So he has to act up 2x’s as bad to get into the paper….

Can’t deny Moss has been a pain in the over the last few years. But, I wouldn’t trade him for any other receiver out there. If his attitude and game has taken the next step, he should really put up some awesome numbers this year. Yes, if you watch ANY profesional sports, there are quite a few millionaire whiners.

Will Lesnar ever make an impact on the Vikes or any other NFL team? Probably not, but you have to give the guy some credit for turning down millions of dollars in a wrestling contract to pursue a dream.

My deepest apologies….by mistaking you for a Packer fan.

It shounds like they should title it: Viking Haters Thread 2004!
I don’t think Moss’ last year stats were so awful:
    Rec Yds Avg Long TDs
    111 1632 14.7 72 17
I’d be willing to take those stats again this year!

    Krisko and Slop Bass,
Hovan rocks!!! He had two tackles Sunday! Yes, he talks WAY too much, and doesn’t back it up on the field. He should just shut up and play.

Compare Moss’ stats to Javon Walker’s from last year
    Rec Yds Avg Lng Tds
    41 716 17.5 66 9
Yeah, I’d sure hate to have Moss on my team!

Compare Ahman Green to your RB!!!

your comparing apples and oranges bro….MOSS is good, when he wants to be, but brings a ton of baggage with him. If moss is what the Vikings stand for, then they are no better than the drug dealing dallas team of the late 90’s..

    all in fun

    Lets compare apples to oranges!!

    Vikes Backs
    Mo Williams
    745yds rushing 5 TD
    65 Rec for 644yds 3 TD

    Michael Bennett(Granted was out games)
    447yds rushing 1 TD
    12 Rec for 132yds 0 TD

    Packer Back(yep only one)
    Amahn Green
    1883yds rushing 15 TD
    50 Rec for 367yds 5 TD

Total number of Criminal Charges against Moss 4 last year

Total number of Criminal Charges against Green 0 last year
Plus Green is part of the United Way

I don’t know scales are a little unbalanced???

Yeah, the Vikes had to do a little of that rushing by committee thing, but when it came right down to it, the Pack only out rushed them by just over 200 yds for the season. It worked out to a .2 yds per carry difference. Probably due to our quarterback being a bit more mobile.

Moss has butterfingers?!? For anyone that actually pays attention. Moss was the 1st receiver in NFL history last year to average over 100yrds and a touchdown EVERY GAME! Not Marvin Harrison, not Owens, and certainly not Walker or Driver. You can hate him all you want, but he’s the best ever!

    LOL, that’s funnny.

Especially since Moss had zero criminal charges against him last year.

And Ahman Green, who I like by the way, was charged in the past with domestic battery, and went through an ugly divorce that is still being fought in the courts.

Man Krisko, you are making yourself look like one of those closet Packer fans who only trot out the “how many Super Bowls have you won” and the “real teams only play outdoors arguments” to go with their made up facts and media hype driven innuendo.

PS, even as a Viking fan, I can only say Moss is the 2nd best WR ever. #1 is still Rice.

Bring out more lies, generalities, and rumors. We can take it.

So far this year that nut job that grabbed the runner in the Olympic Marathon has more sacks than Hovan has

I’ll give Moss credit for one thing, he is the fastest man to the sidelines when he is about to get tackled.

Yeah 1 TD and 100yds…just think if he would catch the ball and hang onto it. He would have had 2 TD’s and 150yds maybe not

I’m confused where you are getting this Moss not holding on to the ball? I’m thinking you’re talking about a different Moss here.

I’m not talking fumbles….just catching the ball. If he would put some sort of effort into it maybe he could hang onto it. Sorry for the confusion.

As I read threw this I keep reading moss and dropping the ball???

Are you watching the same Minnesota Vikings as I am?? The Randy Moss Ive been watching the last few years has came up with some of the greatest catches I have ever seen an NFL player make.

Krisko I think you have some CRAP on your glasses

I’ve got to chime in on a few things written so far.

Randy Moss can’t catch a football….Where’d that one come from??He only had two td’s last weekend. As far as his attitude, He had some problems in past years but he was just a kid. He has grown immensely since then.

About all the talk about Hovan. He has more heart than any player I have ever seen. I would take that over pure talent any day.

Sure Green had more yards than any one Vikes running back, G.B. didn’t have a healthy QB so they were forced to resort to the running game more than they otherwise would have.

About the squeaky clean criminal past of the G.B. running backs, Green has already been mentioned so I won’t go into that but let’s not forget the embaressing moment when Davenport got in trouble for crapping in a lady’s dorm room closet.

About Moss being number two to Rice, right now I’d have to agree but we’ll see in another ten years. No wideout has compared to Moss’s stats for their first five years in the league.

If only he could catch the ball. But then, he can’t run or jump either can he, Krisko????

    GO VIKES

By the way, sometimes I get a little carried away in my ranting about the Vikes and the Packers. If I offend anyone I apologize. It is all in fun.

Slop Bass, In this post you talk about Moss’s baggage and in the Packers post you brag about how good Terell Owens is. What’s up with that????

    Gator,

T.O. whines a bit much when he doesn’t gets the ball like every receiver does, but he plays all out every down…he doesn’t take plays off or not play at all b/c it’s a running play. His TD antics are also better!! T.O. is THE COMPLETE PACKAGE…He’s fast, built like a mofo, and he blocks…

Take last year when Moss play S.F. and T.O……Moss WANTED to play to prove he was better and he won that game….Monday night should prove to be interesting as you have the 2 best receivers in the league trying to prove who’s better this year…

How do you know? Have you seen alot of clips on what TO does on running plays? I bet if they focused the cameras on TO or HArrison or any other receiver on every play, you would see them stand around on runs to the other side of the field etc.
The fact is, the cameras have just focused on Moss since the comments on Cris Carter, and how know one makes Moss play when he wants to play except him. But of course, it was taken out of context, blown up in the media, and then made worse when Randy made dumb comments about it later. If you haven’t noticed, Moss isn’t the brightest bulb, especially with the media.

I’ll take Moss, lumps and all, over any other reciever in the league. Easy.

I know because high profile players like MOSS and TO get watched every play. These things get noticed and brought up during ESPN and other sports shows…Football and football players, like politics/politicians, are watched under close scrutiny over everything they do.

I know Moss is your boy, but face it, he’ll always have a dark cloud over him. Sorry.

I seem to remember, quite a few complaints last year about T.O. not going all out on quite a few plays. Also, I don’t believe Moss has ever been quite the locker room distraction that T.O. has been. T.O. quit in that game against the Vikes, Moss most surely didn’t.
