What to do with doo doo?

I hope I’m not going too far…maybe this should be under the hunting forum. But it is a real question….

Besides, if skhartke can get answers to his washing machine question…this aught to be a breeze!

This question is for all you doggie owners out there. I have two 4 legged walking ‘s here. (jez am I setting myself up ) They run around in the back yard and do their thing. So if i’m not out there with a shovel at least once per day…well it kinda catches up to me…so to speak.

The question is: What do you doggie owners do with your “bi products” from your pet?

Just leaving it is not an option.

We bought a $3 garbage can last year and used plasic bags (this was in the cooler weather) but because of the stink in the warmer months and the weight of the snow in winter…well it didn’t work out so well.

    Any thoughts? Jake…no pictures please!

From personal experience I’ve found the best place to put poop is in the toilet. That’s where my 2 dog’s lawn sausages go too. It’s a daily chore. Just shovel’em up and in the toilet they go.

Right across the road from my house is a corn field, so let’s just say I help the farmer out with fertilizing.

i like the toilet trick. never thought of that. i use the plastic bags that i get at the grocery store. pick up about every 2 days, those bags tie up tight. don’t smell any worse than the rest of the garbage.

Throw it over to your neighbor’s yard. You didn’t like him anyway did you?

I personally trained my dog to sneak into neighbors yard to do its business, when she gets caught at it she sneakidly looks cute to neighbor and gets a good petting.

I have a small dog-so no problems there. But if the stink is a problem-do you have 2nd refrig/freezer for beer/bait? Through it in the freezer and take it out on trash day.

I always thought the proper way to get rid of the doo-doo is to put it in a paper bag, place it in the neighbors doorstep, light it with a match then ring the doorbell and run like the devil. I could be wrong…..

Thats one of the reasons why I bought a riding lawn mower. Dang 80 + lb lab. Just spray the tires off after mowing.

I use a garbage can with bags and shovel it after it sits a few days to dry out before putting it in there. At my last house there was field butting up to the lawn so I just launched it there. Man that was easy.

Now I’ve heard it all! Poop on the fishing forum?
I supposed it is the Catch-all forum!
I usually wait for a week or so, I have a pretty big yard, and have the kids put on a pair of latex gloves and go out poop-picking. Put it all in a plastic bag, tie it up tight, throw it in the trash!

I think we can bring this around to the fishing side. Put the poop in a glass jar, let sit in the sun all summer, and then use it as stink bait. Cats love it I crack myself up.

Just woke up from my “cat” nap…Wow, some of these are good!

Personally, I like the stink bait one. Herb, one of my neighbors is HAS from the site, I think with the heads up, that one might not work.
I’ve tried the paper bag trick a few times…but my wife caught on and she just dumps water on it now…

Actually, this is what I do now. I doesn’t work well in the winter.
Once I have a shovel full I toss it into our fire pit and cover it with a little ash. About every two weeks or so, I take my wheel barrow over to HAS’s place and pick up a load of firewood. Then get a real hot fire going…then I tell my daughter to go get the schmores…

I think out of the above, the best option for me in the winter is the toilet one. Not sure how that will fly with the wife though.

Thanks for the comments an chuckles…skhartke? I hope you got your washer fixed!

In the months there’s no snow, I just set the mulch mower way down. It chews em up really good, kind of sounds like going across gravel when you hit a “patch” of doo doo !
