Fantasy Football Experts- Did I make a good trade

I traded Tua Tagovailoa and Breece Hall for Dak Prescott and Isiah Pacheco. My other QB is Maholmes and my other RB’s are Mixon,Montgomery, and Zack Moss. I thought it was rather even. I wanted another better back and think I got that.
I’m also thinking of dropping Prescott and picking up Jordan Love this week. For some reason someone dropped Love. There are a few guys ahead of me on the claim order, so it’s possible one of those guys will get love ahead of me. Do you think dropping Prescott and getting Love is a good move ???.

I think I would keep Prescott, but I am not a FF guy.

Kind of a parallel move in my opinion.

I don’t really understand trading like pieces (say a RB and WR…for a RB and WR). In our league those types of trades never happen as it’s the dead giveaway that one guy is seeking “more value” than they are giving up in the same positions.

I was offered Joe Mixon in exchange for giving up Puka and Gus Edwards in our league. I didn’t accept it but had to think about it

I think rostering a 2nd QB when you have Maholmes is a waste of a roster spot. I’d rather take a flyer on a RB or WR stash and hope they break out or move up the depth chart due to others injuries. Unless this is a superflex or 2QB league, then disregard that comment.

Trade Dak for a weak spot on your roster. Don’t just drop him. You certainly don’t need him taking up a spot on your roster so try and fill in a weak spot in your roster with a trade.

In our league it almost has to happen as a like pieces trade as there is restriction at various positions and if trading unlike pieces it causes a mess with dropping other players to make room on the roster prior. There is almost no trades in my league. This is the 1st this year and I don’t think we had any last season.

That is kind of what I was thinking. That is why I think this made sense. Think I gained a little at RB

Not sure there is much trade value in Dak. That is why I’m going to try and drop him and get Love. I think Love may have more trade value down the line. Seems like most the teams in our league carry 2 QB’s. I think mostly for Injury purpose, and Bye weeks. I also think for weekly matchup situations.

I think Prescott is a step above Love in the QB tier. Dallas is a much more potent offense than Green Bay is. Prescott really hasn’t had to do much yet with his arm this season because his defense has been dominating. That might change on Sunday night in San Fran.

10 team league? You should not be carrying a 2nd QB if you have Mahomes.

Its only 8 teams and most seem to. Not saying it is correct or not.
We start 9 players ( With one being a flex, either receiver or RB ) and are allowed 6 Bench players
If I don’t carry a Extra QB I would either have 5 RB’s or 5 WR’s. Since you can only start 2 of each plus a Flex that seems like a lot of wasted Roster as well.
What is your thought on having a extra Def. on the roster?

I’m rather new to this fantasy football thing and don’t seem to do real well, so I appreciate all of your thoughts and ideas.

Oh man, that is really slim on bench spots. I am an 8 player starting roster and we have 8 bench spots for a total of 16. I carry a backup QB.

I can understand the thought of not having a back up QB if you only have 5 bench spots.

Just have fun thumper. I haven’t played the past two years cause I’ve got young kids, trying to finish a degree, and trying to get better at hunting, so FF was the thing that had to go but I miss it, it can be a lot of fun.

With Mahomes at QB I personally wouldn’t even have a backup QB taking up a roster spot. I would typically just grab a guy on the waiver wire for the one week you need one. You can use that spot by taking a flyer on a WR3 or backup RB and who knows.

Another thing I used to do that worked in my favor a TON was pick up players (example: bye week replacements) a week or more sooner than I needed them. Obviously this only works if you can spare the roster spot, but you might be able to beat someone else out who waits until they really need the player.

8 team league even more crazy to carry a 2nd QB

Sounds like your whole league is maybe newbies?

You have Mahomes who you are playing every week except for bye. You probably have several QB streamers available each week if needed.

The bench spots should be to stash high value upside guys

To each their own but if it’s for money I should get in your league next year, lol toast

    win win for both maybe?

Tua has a tough ROS schedule
    Dak is pretty average

Pacheco has some gravy matchups coming so he will probably rack up the points for ya.
Not a Breece Hall fan especially since Wilson is flingin it. lots of teams are playing man and adding extra guys for run support because Wilson does not scare any defense.

This does make sense. I think some just like the extra QB for bye week or in the case their QB gets hurt. it also keeps that QB off someone else’s roster. Once in awhile maybe just a big matchup difference as well. I’ll probably See if I can interest another team in a trade for Dak or Love if I end up getting him through the claim process tonight. I think Love with 1 more game against the bears and 2 more against the Vikings Def. has to be worth something grin
