I got a few of these last year for my b-day, and I really like their action. We even caught a few on the largest model trolling in a tournament last weekend. How have you guys been doing on them?

Also, what I’m really looking for is a dive chart on these newer cranks. Anyone have any info on that? Thanks a ton–

I had great success with them last year. The size 9 in gold was a money-maker on Rainy Lake. As for a dive chart, I’d be interested in the same – in the meanwhile it’s just trial and error.

I’ve caught eyes casting them in 4 ft of water right after opener to pulling them on lead core over a 100+ fow in Augest! It is my goto lead core bait!

The dive chart is in the newest edition of the bible. If nobody chimes in on it before I get home from work, I’ll look it up and post it.

I have done well on them on Winnebago and have caught a few fish on them on other lakes as well.

I can’t tell you how much I’d appreciate that. I just bought 5 more of em today….had em for $4.79 at Cabela’s. Probably shoulda bought more for that price.

Really looking forward to seeing the info. Thanks!

below numbers are feet of line / depth

    For the MR-7

    10# mono – 10/4 40/7 61/8 max of 115/9
    10/4 fireline – 10/4.25 45/8 86/10 150/11.5

    For the MR-9

    10# mono – 10/4.5 54/8 111/10 max of 200/11
    10/4 fireline – 10/4.75 40/8 72/10 131/12 200/13

    For the MR-11

    10# mono – 10/5 22/8 44/11 79/14 120/16 200/18
    10/4 fireline – 12/7.5 22/10 44/13.5 65/16 92/18 128/20 200/22

the line out numbers that don’t end in 5 or 0 are my interpretation of the graph and may be off by a foot, but they should be pretty close. Same deal with the depths that are not even depths. Hope this helps.

I don’t have a scanner, but if one of my co-workers does, I’ll see if I can get them scanned early next week and post them.

Thanks Mendota, I’ll take your numbers for it. With the line counters you’ll be dropping or raising them to get them dialed in anyways. Close is good enough for me.
Going out and getting the numbers posted on my boxes right now. Thanks again!

Watch out for copyright infringement guys!

You just reproduced (and posted on the web) a portion of the author’s work without his written permission.

Spending the $$ on your own copy of the troller’s bible is a worthwhile investment.

A relevant story from MSNBC today…

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31356241

The Minnesota housewife in this story was fined $9,250 each for the 24 songs she shared on Kazaa. $222,000 for sharing copyrighted info. My advice would be to pull those images down. I completely respect the motivation behind trying to help out a fellow fisherman but if the wrong person sees that… it gets messy in a hurry.

I think I just saw something that the re-trial awarded an even bigger fine, someting in the millions. She should have quit when she was ahead.
