How should I care for my Guidewear. What should I spray on them to further waterproof? I’m extremely pleased with my uninsulated bibs and would like to take as good of care of them as possible. Thanks,

Step 1: Clean it properly.
This simple step simply means periodic washing in an appropriate cleaner (such as Granger’s G-Wash Cleaner Plus or Granger’s Down Wash). The goal is to remove the dirt that masks the fabrics water/stain repellent finish. The most effective cleaners for performance fabrics remove dirt, contaminants and odors without leaving water-attractive residues behind. This is the reason to avoid normal laundry detergents or soaps that tend to be loaded with fabric softeners, perfumes, color (UV) brighteners and whiteners. Many detergents contain bleach–an aggressive cleaning agent that strips DWR from the fabric.
Step 2: Restore the DWR.
Since no DWR is permanent, it is only a matter of time before you will need to reapply a water-repellent finish to the fabric. Variables in determining the life of the DWR are the quality of the fabric and original DWR, exposure to contaminants, dirt, abrasion and general wear and tear. Restoring the DWR involves cleaning the garment first to remove dirt an prepare the fabric to accept the treatment. Maintaining the DWR maximizes water repellency and optimizes breathability
