Looking for help on mounting a transducer on the middle front of pontoon. I have been looking for one of those pivoting metal rods guys used in the past to mount transducer on back of boat. The kind that flips up. No luck. I may have to get trolling motor mount but I didn’t want all that extra cable in the boat and the Garmin trolling motor transducer is difficult to find. Any ideas out there?

    Hey Mike.
Is there a reason you want the trasducer on the front of the pontoon? My uncle has a pontoon with a graph on it. He has a synthetic mounting board mounted on the back of one of the floats and has the transducer mounted to that. it works fine.

My dash mounted graph is transduced on the back. I need one on the front next to my bow mount motor to accurately fish breaks from the front.

Can you run the ducer off your trolling motor like we typically do?? That’s what we did on my dad’s.

That’s my last option. I really didn’t want to have the cable slack on this application not to mention the Garmin Transducer for trolling motors is not readily available. At least Cabelas and Reeds does not stock them. That’s as far as I have look since I really want to mount it another way. Worst case scenerio one of my friends will make what I need once I get measurements and mounting surface specs. Thanks.
