Here’s the soon-to-be-released Lowrance LCX-17M . It’s very similar to the LCX-15 but with some updates on the software and processor, and some other tweeks here and there. I am told that this new unit will be able to run the Navionics Premium chip. the X-17 is not shipping yet but it shouldn’t be too long now.

No news on the shipping date. Could be February/March I’m guessing. I do have the details updated on the site now. Use this link: Lowrance LCX-17M . Prices listed are M.A.P. prices so you’ll have to click on the add to cart button to see the discounted prices. One of the benefits of this new Lowrance X-17 versus the old X-15 is that you can run the new Navionics Premium North chip because the have greatly improved the processor on the X-17. The picture will be better as well, with the higher pixel count.
