    See it in action

So I watched this, and explain to me how the line is going on without line twist. If you are manually using the spinning reel, it is turning. Therefore, the line is twisting as you put it on.

Maybe I am missing something here.

Jon’s suggestion may alleviate the problem if you pull it out.

I was responding to people holding pencils with their toes. This is same thing and easier.

The shoe idea is really smart, I’ll be trying that next time around.

I took it down to the confluence on p2 and let it dump; my kid reeled it back in with a slimy channel cat on the other end. Needless to say he likes his new combo.

Pretty sure you should have let him free hand it in.
And just so you know, most eyes are more slimy then channel cats

We spool our own spinning reels. I have no problems with twists and bird’s nests, but my wife does. I think it might have something to do with not manually flipping the bail closed before cranking. roll

Grandpa bought kiddo a new sienna at Dicks for a gift. They spooled it up backwards. roll

Is there a chance that the Old Caretaker of the fishing department was involved in the doah “Sexing of the minnows” when he was interrupted to deal with such a meager coffee of a sale?

Ya know these “Old Guys” and their ability to stay on task, Right?! chased
