Going to be my first trip to fish the Milwaukee Harbor and am in need of reasonably priced hotels that are boat friendly and safe to park the boat with out worries.

    Thanks

Guessing others will chime in that have stayed in the area…. I would consider south of Milwaukee a little… Google Lodging in Oak Creek. Right east of I-94 there are a bunch of options on College Avenue. It is pretty easy access to Southshore landing or McKinley in Milwaukee.

When are you looking to go?

Hiliday Inn by the airport – on Layton I think – comes up often is discussions. I also know a lot of guys will make the 20 minute ride out to Waukesha also.

If your planning a 3 or 4 day trip, I suggest looking south milwaukee as stated. It opens up some convenient options for Milwaukee, Oak Creek, or Racine…plus stopping down by some of the tributaries.

You could also check out the”strip”,meaning the ma and pa motels on South 27th Street(Hwy 241) in Franklin/Oak Creek. These are as reasonable as you can find in the area.A few are seedy(Motel Skyway),most are decent.Dolly’s Villa Vista(Oak Creek side, south of Rawson Ave) was very accommodating when I was there.
But beware, most of these places do not have a website, and are run as first come, first serve. So if the vacancy sign is on,you are good to go.
