I had used redLazer for quite awhile, and it worked great for most items. Seems as if the APP RedLazer is going to the roadside. Many items I scan are not found????

So, when cost comparing items, what is the best app you found? I lack the patience to load and try 20 apps to find 1 that works.

I scan with the Amazon Shopping app sometimes to get an idea of price. Don’t do it a lot but I don’t remember many cases of it not finding something.

Shop Savvy has worked pretty good for me. I shop at MN Home Outlet a lot and have noticed that some of their prices are not as good as they should be. I’ve gotten into the habit of scanning anything I’m interested in purchasing before I buy it. The Amazon app works pretty good also.

Yeah they have jacked up their prices in the past couple years. It’s nothing like when you could buy anything in there for half off or more. I pretty much stopped going there unless I’m nearby and have some time to waste.

Pricing apps? How have I not heard of this before? How does it work? Do you scan an item you might be interested in buying to see who might sell it cheaper?

Sharon, I’ll need to give your dad a hard time next time I see him. Of all IDO members, your the one I had highest expectations that would know the most about this.

Ya, you got the concept. Scan the upc, and it goes out and shops it out on the web. If it’s not a product covered by map agreements, you can usually get the store to price match…or buy it online

Interesting. I know, I’ll admit it… I’m a disgrace to my gender in that I’m not a huge fan of shopping. When I need to buy something, I’d rather just get it done and over with – even if I end up not paying the best price. There are a few exceptions though. Like when I’m shopping with my mom. She makes it fun and we always end up laughing!

Billy and I got new phones today and now I’m not limited, space-wise, so I’ll have to look into some other apps that I didn’t have room for on my old phone!
