Looking for an affordable option to charge multiple 12v sealed batteries at the same time. I currently use a sportsman’s charger for 1 battery at a time. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Jerry

I think battery tenders can chain a few batteries, or they have a unit for multiple batteries.

I have been using my hobby charger for R/C stuff as my flasher and camera charger (venom pro duo) It has 2 channels and allows you to set the charging rates and it stops charging when done. It also tracks time and voltage, can run batteries through charge/discharge cycles, and other stuff. It handles lipos up to 6 cell, nimh, nicad, pb – so I dont need multiple units. I think the precision extends the battery lives. Paid around $100 – I think there is a 4 channel one too.

I have 3 marine batteries hooked up in unison and charge with one battery tender. Been doing it for years. It just may take 2-3 days longer for them to completely charge.

It’s been a few years, but Battery Tender had really good customer service for a random question like this when I called. I’m interested if multiple batteries will mess the sensors up for the maintenance charge, but still do the actual charge partial defeating the longer term charging benefits.

I would think that as long as the batteries are pre-charged to full, the voltages would be close enough to for the maintainer to not have any problems. I could see it being an issue if one of the batteries was drastically discharged compared to the others. I could be totally wrong though! I can say that I used to charge my trolling motor batteries with a portable smart charger by linking them in parallel, and never had any issues. Again in this case, the batteries were charged/discharged about the same, so the voltage was pretty identical between them.

I got a pack of three Deltran Battery Tenders for my stuff
they come in one to ten banks if needed…

singles are nice so you can plug them in different places

My three singles were cheaper then the four bank one
I see they have a six pack available now also.

    CHECK here:
    Deltran Battery Tenders

I use them on my mower, boat, and a classic that don’t get used much.
Very easy to install with the two options they offer in each pack.
was listening to Sam the Man on Shadetree Mechanic one morning.
And they said these are one of the best to use.

Got to say, one of the best things I got earlier last year
