Auger repair around the metro?

I have an Eskimo with a broken fuel line. It’s broken right as it enters the fuel tank, so I can’t just use putty or something to patch it up. And I have no idea how to get the sleeve that the fuel line goes through into the tank out to replace the entire thing. Are there any affordable places around to take it to?

I found one up in Dayton, but they are closed through the New Year.

You could try D-Rock center in New Brighton. I know they work on Strikemaster, however it may be worth a call and see if they can help.
The fixed my Strikemaster Solo last year and did a great job.

I would think any small engine shop could do it – I take mine to a small engine guy in South mpls off of 59th and Nicollet called Kliers.

Lindstrom hardware store does repairs like that at a reasonable cost. And quick turn over

Drock if you are in the metro area. Great customer service and will get you up and running.

For what it’s worth, I was in a similar situation and ended up putting the money I would have spent on a repair toward a k-drill. Then I couldn’t decide whether to sell my old auger or try to fix it myself. I ended up doing the latter … much to my surprise I fixed it perfectly for $20 in parts and a few beers worth of my time, but I haven’t run it since because I love the k-drill so much.

I ended up taking it to Hugo Equipment Center. A bit further than I wanted to go, but they are replacing the line and the fuel tank (I didn’t know it was cracked too) for $82 out the door. Worth it to me to have someone start working on it right away so I can get it back quickly.

    Thanks all.
