Same. I enjoy some panfish in the spring but can only do so much of it. Be nice to chase a few eyes for a week or so and then get chasing the bass.

I hear ya. I know some people have been river fishing for a while now but I haven’t because I’ve been turkey hunting and panfishing instead.

If they open up a C & R bass season next spring, that’s going to whittle away at my crappie fishing in the spring.

Nope its going to be a poop show in crosslake.

Going to midnight fish this year I think.

I usually fish up there every opener and throughout the year. Sadly I will be going elsewhere this year for opener. Don’t want to deal with the extra traffic
As to the walleye you guys can have them I am excited to chase some bass again. I was out on a local lake yesterday and saw water temps in the low to mid 60’s.

Sounds like there will be some people protesting Tampon Tim on the water, and possibly the air too. I wonder how long he will stay out this year?

My wife won this round, as I’ll be missing the opener visiting the in-laws.

If I heard correctly is going to be royal circus up here, I am wondering if they will divert to a different smaller lake up here, I haven’t heard my sources where is he going yet. The last trump boat parade we had was insane how many people we had up here and all of the under cover cops it was crazy.

His endorsed candidate to replace the pedophile senator, just lost badly here… and now he is coming to the area. Poor planning to come to the land of rocks and cows now. whistling

It will most certainly be quite the show up there. I suppose this will give him a second chance to “code talk to white guys watching football, fixing their trucks.” His quote for being picked as the VP candidate, not mine.

Was at Abbott Northwestern around Easter for a heart procedure. Am on the mends. Most of my buddies have made their plans for opener and not a good idea to go it alone. The fishing opener was a tradition going to mom and dad’s cabin a time we looked forward to opening morning and the good fishing we always had. The Minnesota Gov’s Opener tradition has changed a great deal, looks like politics will once again put a damper on the fun. Hopefully, Minnesota’s big day is better then Wisconsin’s last weekend.

I can’t remember the last fishing opener I planned. Back 40, maybe even 30 years ago, I lived for my two favorite things combined on one weekend, fishing and partying. Good times!
