Glance over at the clothing section of a department store sometime. You’ve got men and boys for one side. And the other has girls, juniors, misses, women, and petites. Some things are so much more simple for men, and clothing is definitely one of them! moon

    Here’s a legit question…

Is it more difficult for women because of the look they’re going for, or is it body shapes? I don’t think there’s

I know skinny dudes and big dudes, they shop the same shelves. Dudes 6’3″ with long legs, and dudes that are 5’2″ with short legs.

For the most part, men don’t tend to give much of a crap how their shirt or jeans fit. In most cases, it seems like women like their clothes tight, to make them appear a certain way.

I think men just don’t care and that makes it easier!

Or I’m completely wrong. No idea.

    Damn Dutch,
It looks like you triggered a good old fashion LIB monkey pile. Good job. applause Not that I care much about what uniforms the girl softball players wear.

rjthehunter, it’s absolutely more about shapes than a “look” or style. Often times the same styles will appear in multiple sections. The “cut” of a pair of jeans for example will be much more forgiving in the misses department than the juniors. Misses and womens sizes will have room for hips, a belly pooch, curves, and obviously the chest area for shirts. Juniors are the younger teens who often still have a boyish figure. Men don’t have it easier because they don’t care, men simply don’t go through the several hormonal changes women do that affects so much of this (puberty leading to regular menstrual cycles, pregnancy, menopause…).

    All,
Take a deep breath, hold it for the count of ten, and sloooowly exhale.

Y’know, beach volleyball, at least that that gets aired on TV, must make women cringe every time it’s on. I don’t understand why an athlete would subject herself to a sand filled wedgie when the guys get to play in what is clearly a more comfortable set of athletic shorts. Maybe attitudes would change if the guys were forced to play in speedos.
