Lost another one at home today 4-0 to Detroit. 3 weeks into the season and 5.5 games behind.
Wow totally spaced that baseball even started! Let me guess, Lewis and Buston are probably hurt, couple pitchers are OFS with tommy john and the scrub is still scrubbin it up!
Watching the TV feed from Detroit. They just showed the overhead shot of the stadium. Love the Twins or hate the Twins Target Field is a beautifull place to play ball.
Looks like a well deserved small crowd for a Sunday.
Twins lead 3-1 bottom of 6. The scrub & Buxton homer. Woods Richardson goes 5.
Twins win 5-1.
Detroit announcers were really impressed with Varland & Jax in relief. Duran threw mostly off speed but got the last guy on a 101 mph fastball the hitter hit out to Buxton.
Correa had a day off. France, Julien, Castro & Lee on the infield.
Stick with the puppies, your season will be over in 2 weeks.
Wow
I was old enough to celebrate and remember the 87 and 91 Chips but it’s a different era with no salary cap and ZERO chance now.
Don’t worry! Nobody gives AF about the wolves but will jump on to say they did.
Havent seen windmill Watkins get anyone thrown out at home yet. That said in the little I have watched not sure anyone has made it to third base.

Wouldnt say nobody. I watch every game.
Hard to get thrown out when most guys are as fast as me. One base at a time Grasshopper.
Twins averaging under 20k in attendance already, and that’s with the opener near sellout and corporate tickets skewing it. They might be better served just opening up the doors and hoping people come in to buy the $20 Manny’s Steak Sandwich and $15 beers.
They are playing a bunch of the heavyweights until the end of May. If things continue as they are they will be absolutely buried in the standings with no chance of digging themselves out. The goal of 14,000 to 15,000 per game average is attainable!!
Twins losing 1-5 against the Mets tonight. At least they are putting up a fight
I couldn’t find a Mets feed on TV so I don’t know what the attendance looks like. I do know a lot of former New Yorkers will spike the crowd count.
The heat is turning up on Falvey and Rocco. The Athletic had a story today stating Rocco might not survive this.
Whatever numbers they’re reporting for attendance are a joke.
It’s never a good sign when foul balls hit vacant lower level seats and nobody cares enough or is close enough to go pick it up.
Attendance numbers will include season ticket holders whether they are there or not.
Saw that Sports Illustrated has an article that states ‘Twins Ranked as one of MLBs most unwatchable teams’
Pretty bad when you are being recognized for how bad you are!

Gleeman had a tweet that announced attendance was just over 10k, lowest ever of the Target Field (non-covid) era.
I rarely jump on a fire the coach bandwagon, but isn’t it time ?
One of the worst collapses of a playoff bound MLB team last September and now a record that simply is following a terrible performance that was put up last September.
Twin??
I love baseball but this is NOT baseball.
New owners, new coach, new training staff, new morale coach, new vendors w food under $20, new pitching scouts, new NON-BLUE and yellow uniforms, new dirt on the infield, new toilet paper on the rolls…… you get the idea..
Embarrassing
The silver lining of this awful mess is this will be the season we finally get rid of Rockhead and maybe even Falvey.
Rocco could be gone by the end of the month. Falvey isn’t going anywhere without new ownership and we aren’t sure the Twins are for sale.

Heat from who or where? Not from their few remaining fans, who know what the real problem is. Probably some from the Owners who don’t like being public enemy #1 and want a scapegoat. And while I never liked the Front Office, and was quickly disappointed by Rocco, it’s much ado about nothing. You could get reincarnated Casey Stengel or Connie Mack and they wouldn’t be able to win with this ownership group.
“With the new NIL rules, it’s very difficult for these small market teams to compete.” Pohlads

Agreed, but at least they could get someone in here that could put a roster together of players that can hit something other than fastballs, get on base, and play defense and stay at least competitive. These guys we have now have no accountability, don’t get any heat from management for not improving/adjusting, and a manager that is the most clueless moron when it comes to in game moves. I could take 9 hand picked bench players from around the league and put a lineup together that could sweep this team.
You are probably right Mahto, and I think that is probably the least reported negative of the Pohlads. The culture they built is garbage. They prioritize yes men, and people who toe the party line, and that goes all the way down to on field management and players. How many fiery competitors stick here long term? None. Vanilla Joe Mauer and Regular old Rocco are their ideal employees.
Vanilla Joe Mauer was their ideal employee.
Ain’t that the truth.

Well, they could have taken Mark Prior.
