I heard on KFAN that the Wild have NEVER won a playoff series game #4???

No time like today to break that streak!

I got lucky today, oldest daughter had three games back to back to back. Done for the day.

I am looking forward to watching this in its entirety today. I’ve seen one period thus far through 3 games.

3pm is way more reasonable than 10:15pm on a Tuesday. doah

Gustavsson is the difference today. Vegas has more puck possession, more shots on goal, and more time on attack by a fair margin.

Middlstrom should have used a top titty 2×4 to lift the puck out…

Not sure who it was that tried to clear the puck before that GW in the corner. Middleton, maybe? Go up the boards instead, not into the middle of the ice. doah

Almost the same with the one that made it 2-2. Boldy whiffed on clearing it and it was just sitting there. Last 3 goals for LV were all pretty sloppy. Sucky way to lose.

A good game against a good team. I can take that away. We are not getting handled.
Unfortunately it’s team in a box.
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE that the go ahead goal by stone even happens because our player is bear hugged and taken to the ice, nowhere near the puck right off the face off. Isn’t that interference?

Middleton became a liability in that OT, multiple icings and then that blown whatever you wanna call it, pass/flip?

That was ALL Hartman pulling Hertl down… it actually looked like Stone was going for the deflection shot… unreal…

Ya, you’re right. I think it was Middleton, upon further review.

Middleton was probably playing gassed because they didn’t play Buium in OT. Not sure why, especially the PP. He played every shift of the third and then no OT.

Agree it was another good game though.

Can they score on a kicked puck rebound? I was hoping for a prayer review that the play should have been whistled when Vegas kicked the puck into Gus. Guess that’s not a whistle

The irony is that it came off a won draw in our own zone…. I just don’t get the thinking by Middleton? You win the draw and then give it right back if his flip out was successful?

I can see why not playing Zeev in OT on a regular shift, he should have played every now & then to give guys a rest when you can match him on a faceoff, but taking him off the PP was just dumb…

Wild had several chances to win that game in the last 8 minutes of the third and didn’t…

Absolutely hate moral victories. But this team has nothing to hang their heads over. Not everyone is going to play great every game. They’ve competed with Vegas every single game. Granted Gus is playing incredible, but even still. Boldy has been a beast. Foligno has gotta be beaten up from all the hits. Trenin and Rossi have played well. Wish we could swap out Ohgren for Nyquist, but I think the coaching staff just trusts Nyquist defensively a touch more. Middleton had a bad mistake and it was a bummer they capitalized on it. Gus did everything a goalie could do there on the initial save. Being this competitive in a series nobody really even had the wild have a chance at is impressive. I know the team and individuals on the team have warts and issues, but being tied 2/2 after 4, I’ll take it. Zeev has had a rough series but is looking a little better each game. Brodin and Faber are just machines. Vegas definitely defended KK different game 4 and it worked. Could question a lot of things from Spurgeon on the ot pp, to you name it but it is what it is. Like Hynes being willing to move pieces around. If Gus can even remotely keep this kind of tending up for 3 or 4 yrs and BG can add a few more pieces to this team and get rid of some others the future looks bright. Like the fight and tenacity of this team way more than the ZP/RS years. Am proud of the boys and the effort so far. Yeah it was a heart breaking ot loss, but it was a he’ll of a game and been a great series. Nothing to hang the head on imo.

Penguins just let head coach Mike Sullivan go…I bet he’s hired by the end of the week if not sooner…probably by the Bruins or Rangers..

Sounds like Merrill is going to replace Zeev in the lineup tomorrow.

Looks like Colorado should have used the assets and capspace they wasted on Brock Nelson and instead put it towards another goalie…
