nhammInactiveRobbinsdalePosts: 7348September 19, 2014 at 5:57 pm #1456501Another one of those beers I’d love to be able to have more than 3-4 if not for the headache the next day. Seems to always be on sale for $16-18 case.

Try Hauenstein big guy. Or Pfiefers.

really — we get millerlite 4 that
bigpikePosts: 6259September 20, 2014 at 6:37 am #1456611I enjoy PBR. Crisp good tasting lager. Never had issues with it. It certainly has a cult following with the younger hipster crowd. Brewerys get bought and sold like they are on a turnstile. As long as they brew it the same I will keep enjoying it

+1 – I like the taste the price is right and my beer snob friends refuse to drink it so I do not need to share.

Boxer Lager? The only beer I’ve ever seen in a 36-pack!
September 22, 2014 at 8:44 am #1456879It certainly has a cult following with the younger hipster crowd.
That, right there, ruins it!
September 22, 2014 at 9:41 am #1456901You mean like when Rolling Rock when it was cheap and then all of a sudden it became cool so they raised the price and once the price was raised no one was willing to pay for it so it became uncool?
Sorry for the run on sentence, but I think it fits with the post.
September 22, 2014 at 1:25 pm #1457055PBR leaving the country? No good.
Old Mill will keep me company while they’re away!
Them light beers have NO TASTE!!

That’s funny, we were just talking about it being admired by the hipsters!
September 22, 2014 at 4:40 pm #1457095And here I thought this was a thread about professional bull riding.
September 22, 2014 at 5:44 pm #1457117I originally thought it was about peanut butter, jelly and something that begins with an R.
bigpikePosts: 6259Tom SawvellInactivePosts: 9559September 22, 2014 at 8:03 pm #1457139Maybe the Packers will go with the beer. Did the Pack win yesterday? Oh, wait. They copied the Vikings.

30 pack of Hamm’s was $15. and I only had to give away two!!
Back before I was old enough to drink, HAMM’S was THE beer of choice. Union made right here in the land of sky blue waters.
Then along came PBR, Olympia, Coors, Red White and Blue and Billy Beer. <coffee>
September 23, 2014 at 8:15 am #1457208You’d never believe the stuff we ran in the Hamms cans just before they took the label away from us. Like ol’ Fritz the cat would say- – ACK!!ACK!! What ever was in the line when the last run finished was what got dumped in the Hamms cans. Sometimes even Oly Gold got the nod. . . .jerr
September 23, 2014 at 10:18 am #1457279I think it’s great to see some of the old labels in the cooler. I have an old beer can collection sitting in the basement, anyone remember the Schmidt outdoor scene’s and the Leinie’s would put the winning horses on the can from the Triple crown races?
September 25, 2014 at 7:48 am #1457914I have about 3 or 4 complete sets of the SCHMIDT outdoors collection steelies. I have boxes of old cans I collected as a kid.
September 25, 2014 at 9:49 am #1457957I remember as a kid how fascinated I was with beer can collections. I never really had one, but my friends brothers did. And we used to go hunt for them in the fields by the drive in and other hot spots. Hamms and Schlitz were always cool. Then there were the rarer ones I can’t even remember.
What beer used to (I think they still do) have fishing and hunting scenes on the cans?
September 25, 2014 at 9:53 am #1457959NM, figured it out. I think I confused Schlitz…and I see Glenn already alluded to that. SCHMIDT
September 25, 2014 at 10:12 am #1457970Gottlieb Gluek’s beer. Only one place that can be bought in the US.
Although after last night, I think I’ve become partial to Bush products.
