Lake Zumbro slabs 4/4/06

I had the pleasure of fishing with C&R (Chris) again on Thursday night for a couple hours. Chris is a super guy & alot of fun to fish with, And if ya ever get the chance to fish with him I’d Jump at it.

He spends ALOT of time on the water (zumbro) LOL. And put us on fish last night. We fished a mini mite under a small float in about 10 to 12 F.O.W. near timber. And can you say FISH ON!!

We released most of the crappies & all of the big gills last night. I think we both kept 4 for dinner. We need some warmer temps to really get things going around here.

We also had a guest join us for awhile. This raccoon was on the prowl last night. Walked out to say hi a couple times. Even wanted to go after the bobbers, LOL. One just has to laugh. So we did!! Good Fishin DOUG

  1. Thanks for the report and pics. What did you have for water temps? In a week or two things should start going gang busters with the crappies. Very interesting 3rd fishin buddy you have there Doug.
    Thanks, Bill

  2. sounds fun i was out there wednesday morning, we caught a few nice fish, took a while for us to find them, water temp then was between 57-58 degrees

  3. Nice fish guys, good to hear you released a few for me. It may take a couple months for me to get down there.

  4. Doug, it looks like you got yourself a pretty bad sunburn while you were out there. It seems like 57-60 degree water temps all over on the waters in the area with most at 58 degrees. We seem to be ahead of the normal years but need to get up towards the middle to upper 60s for things to really start hopping. Won’t be long though.
    Thanks, Bill

  5. I too have stocked up on Mini Mites over the winter and even bought some new colors of them today at HOF.
    Thanks, Bill
