I am on my way to buy one so hopefully someone who has one will answer my concern fairly fast. I want a Zero G hose. Question is if you put a 100 ft hose on a hose reel and only pull out say 20 ft, will the hose on the reel deliver enough water to use it or will it stay flat and pass no water pressure?

I don’t own one, but I am guessing the latter.

It will work if you don’t wind it too tight however pressure will be lower than if it is stretched out fully.

If it’s anything like the X-hose, just toss it in a bucket

We keep ours in a huge ceramic pot so not sure how it performs on a reel.

Well, the verdict is still out. It loses about 1/2 pressure with only about 25 feet out of a hose hideaway reel. Wife loves it, 1/2 pressure is perfect fo watering flowers but washing my truck I would need to pull more out. Extended it is as powerful as my regular 5/8 inch hose. Mine for a couple days but I WILL keep the receipt. There is something to be said about a happy wife, that could be the deciding factor )

Those hose reels are big pieces of Shhhhh anyway. So much quicker and easier wrapping the hose in a large pot. Bucket would work too but that would be aweful tight for 100 feet. Never looses pressure laying out this way too.

Eyeguy, no tangled mess? Do you dump out the whole hose or can you just take what you need?

not really…..I just wind it around the pot. kind of like the crabbers do when they haul crab pots in the bering sea(yes I watch a lot of Deadliest catch). if you dump it in, probably make a mess? to take it out I just turn the water on and it kind of jumps out as you pull what you need.
