Was looking at hopefully getting a late season tag for Wisconsin. I have never bought one before but I keep seeing that I missed a deadline to apply on December 10th. As an out of stater, I’m assuming you don’t need to apply for a late season tag, but was wondering if someone could clarify. I would be hunting the southwest region, across the river from Iowa. Thanks!

Yes – after mid March they open up leftover tags for sale. As of today quite a few tags still left for season E and F in zone 1

Thanks everyone! I will check it out. I’m hunting 3rd and 4th season in Iowa and was just looking for some extra season to hunt. Gonna check out Missouri one of these years as well.

plenty of late season tags available. Can be a very interesting time to hunt. Had years that a lot of hens were nested up. Made it easier with Toms on the prowl for cooperative hens/decoys. However, some years, a lot of hens still roaming around and the toms were lock up on them and had a heck of time pulling them away.
