Turns out I need a new propane furnace for the fish house. Are ventless furnaces even worth considering?

Just me but I would always go with a vented.

As im sure many people will say the same thing to ya, “do you want to live?”? If so, then i would not recommend that you consider a ventless furnace. I read one person who i think said it best, …”hard to enjoy those savings on that furnace when you are dead”.

I would definitely go with the vented Buzz. The vent less would be okay short term for a large room with good air flow, but for a fish house you want it vented.

My buddy use to have a vent less in his wheel house, while we never died it did shutoff due to low oxygen one evening. Spend the extra and make sure you will be safe.

Thanks looks like Empire and Williams are about the only choices. Need to find one that will fit in available space

I looked into the ventless for my rv. I have central air in the trailer but its so darn inefficient and it uses up the battery.
I’m on the fence about the ventless.
I did talk to a rv repair shop owner and has no quams over ventless. He runs 2 empires at the shop and 2 at home. Then again he sells the empire inferred model.
Keep in mind as they say ventless are 99% efficient you still are breathing in combustion exhaust and the companies suggest to have at least 6″ fresh air intake and are not meant for main heat source, recommended 4to6 hour run times.
Also years back ventless heaters were against the law in Mn but now only against the law in California.

X2 on Vented. Risk is just insane. Want to sleep? Get vented. And bring 3 Carbon Monoxide Detectors.

    Just not worth it.

    Be safe. Live long.

Direct vent doesn’t take much space. They are all right though, go vented.
