Argos are sweet. But when you are stuck you are stuck. Or when they break and you are 40 miles out on lotw, no good

I had a 750hdi 8×8 Argo with tracks. It’s a pain to get into. It’s like getting into a boat, but having to climb over a 14 inch track. It’s noisy as the exhaust comes out above the hood. It’s has a top speed of 20 mph without any suspension. It’s a bouncy ride. Did I mention there’s a lot of friction in the turning? It went through mud and snow like crazy. I traded it for a ranger with tracks and have a much better ride. They don’t move very well in water with tracks on them. They really shine going through/over stuff with tracks. A lot of the fittings are powder coated which chipped off and then it rusts right away.

How does it do on early ice when you break thru TH?

I never tried it on thin ice.
