I heard from the Pup (aka stillakid2) that some wondered where Ive been! Well… Ive been busy learning how to be a nature photographer… not sure how successful Ive been… but I AM learning!! so Ill post a few shots here….
I took a series of shots at Lotus lake During a passing thunderstorm a few days ago…. Lotus Lake is in Wisconsin near Dresser…. its not much of a fishery… but its one of only 2 lakes that contains Lotus, which is sort of a lilly pad that extends its pads out of the water….

Wow! that third one is very nice. Were you in a boat when you took that photo? If so you had to hold perfectly still to get the water that calm!

Super nice! If you ever get to hosting full-sized versions of these photos on-line I would not be apposed to you linking out to them so guys could gawk at the hi-res versions.

What we couldn’t do with you Rivereyes if you were into digital VIDEO photography!

Hi James!… thanks for the comments and thoughts!….
I was actually wading at the time… and I put my tripod down and waited for the ripples to subside (to bad the skeeters never did!)…..
I do have some of my stuff online at Kencphoto.com I need to bring more into there and I will soon…..
dont ya just love the birch in the North woods? I know I do… Ive not really been able to do them justice yet… but someday hopefully…..

Even in the darkest forest it seems a ray of light can find its way through…..

gosh… you guys are TOOOOOO kind…. so I will reward (punish?) you with another shot… since it seems a waste not to add a photo when I got so many laying around…
this is kind of weird though… last night while I was loading the above photos the dogs started to raise h*ll and I went to see what it was… there was a racoon… so I grabbed a camera and went on the porch… the racoon looked at me.. saw me carrying something and ran towards me, climbed the deck and was right there!… it was TOOOO close for my normal wildlife lens.. so I went back into the house, changed to a 100mm macro… got some food and came back out… it was taking foo from my hand!
