LOL After seeing who was picked where they missed twice and who they ended up getting they definitely made the right pick!

That’s the part that always gets ignored, Kevin Williams turned into one of the best Vikings DL guys ever…but I vividly remember yelling at my tv as a kid!

I wonder if the Vikings will pick on time. Probably will turn pick #24 in after pick #26.

…especially on the football field. I don’t see their skills translating to the NFL, but maybe Kwesi Adofo Mensah knows something we don’t

Loving that Shaduer Sanders might not go in the 1st round, even if the ESPN telecast is trying to will it to happen…

^below nfl average arm strength + lack of mobility at the next level + 100x the potential distractions compared to most rookies.

He’s accurate and precise but took a ton of sacks in Colorado against questionable talent. He didn’t play a juggernaut schedule and the NFL game will really speed him up.

If Shaduer wasn’t Deions’ kid, would anybody be hyped about him at all? I don’t know if he’d be ranked in the top 10 of QB’s.

He seems to be a good QB. The hype and Daddy Deion inflate it and make it unbearable.

I swear after Pittsburgh didn’t take him at 21 a few of the announcers were trying their best to blame the race card without specifically saying it

I surely don’t eat, sleep, or breathe college football. But I sure have never felt in awe of anything Shaduer did while watching a few Colo games and highlights.
Gotta be just a huge deflating feeling at that non-drafted party tonight! tongue rotflol

I only wish the same would’ve happened to Johnny Manziel back on his draft day. Still can’t believe he was a first rounder.

No! There are warning signs everywhere with this kid. When Deion came out times were different then. Loose cannons were seen as swagger. Now loose cannons are seen as lockerroom cancers.
If Shadeur would just do his thing and not listen to the hype from those around him and the media he would be just fine. Living in his father’s shadow certainly doesnt help. I thought he might go to Pit because Tomlin wouldnt put up with his crap and when that didnt happen, I knew he was in for a longer wait. Some draft guys actually had him in the top 5! Idiots.
I really like that Hunter kid, but I just dont see how he is going to be able to play both sides of the ball. He said he wanted to go somewhere that he could do that, which I think he will get that chance in Jacksonville, but he is an elite DB. Perhaps a gadget guy on Offense. We will see, but I have much higher hopes for him that Shadeur.

Reminder that Manziel still holds 2 of the top 4 total offensive seasons in SEC history with the other 2 being burrow and Daniels. At least he accomplished something in college. Without the coke problem maybe his career winds up differently.

Shadeur has potential but he has a massive shadeur problem that daddy helped create and is still reinforcing. Dad’s job was to shut that crap down and he failed miserably —- probably because Deion has the same problem, but happened to be born with elite skill, which has a way of making people ignore the negatives.

Manziel had loads of talent for sure. I remember thinking he would never make it in the NFL and it was never about talent. It was about his size and how reckless he played in college. That just doesnt work in the NFL. Then add in all of the off the field issues and it was a recipe for disaster. I just hope he has gotten his life turned around.

I was watching ESPN, and as soon as the Vikings picked, Scheffter broke in with BREAKING NEWS that NYG traded back into the first round and there was literally no breakdown of our guy. I’m not a great draft mind but like that we went O-Line. But what’s the scouting report on Donovan Jackson? Maybe they found the time to talk about it but I turned back to the Wild. Kind of surprised they didn’t go corner, but happy with the pick.

Watch it on NFL NEtwork. He is a guard that played left tackle for a stint due to other injuries. He is a run game mauler and literally destroys everything in his path (I am paraphrasing from what the dude said). They showed tape of him and it aligned with what he was saying. SHowed some clips at left tackle, but we are set there with Darrisaw. Good to have flexibility however.

Jackson is exactly what the Vikings needed, a day 1 starting left guard who can play Tackle just as well if needed/O’Neal or Darrisaw gets hurt…

These are never sexy picks, but absolutely necessary to give your RB holes and keep your QB upright…

The big guys are never splashy picks but they are the horses that make both sides of the ball operate efficiently. But did I wake up and read the Packers took a WR in the first round!? I bet Rodgers called KOC immediately, pleading once again for an opportunity to come to town and play the Pack twice next year. Talk about fuel meet fire.

I would assume the Vikings were shopping the pick given that Dart and Sanders were still on the board…but probably didn’t find the offer they were hoping for and went with a relatively “safe” pick in interior OL. Reading up on Jackson it looks like he’s a high floor, low ceiling guy. Probably not going to be a HOF’er, but should be a plug and play guard which is something the Vikings needed.
