Need this one tonight. Part of me thinks they should keep zeev in the lineup, cut him loose, and see if he makes up for his mistakes. Sitting him is going to knock his confidence down so much.

I honestly think it will help him, he needed to get humbled a bit… He’s now reached the pinnacle of hockey, but it ain’t gonna be as easy as college was for him, he’s going to need to work harder than he ever has before if he wants to dominate again. I think he’ll come out guns blazing next season…

He could use a few LBs too, especially for the playoffs.

Zeev has been awful. Surprised it took this long. He needs a bit more time to season in the regular season and he’ll be fine. Merrell is not perfect by any stretch, but he’s played far past any expectations for him this year.
Rossi has more points and goals than Boldy did in his first playoff series. The toi Rossi has is a head scratcher. No bump up in lines. No more toi. No real acknowledgment of his production for minutes played. Have liked the teams performance this series, but still question BG and some of his mental ticks and choices. As much as the future seems bright, am not completely sold on BG.
Goal tending is the only reason the wild are tied 2/2 with Vegas.

I’m just curious, knowing what we know in terms of it was GMBG’s decision to do the buyouts, what aren’t you sold on with BG given the limitations he’s had for making significant improvements (again, self inflicted, but he did it for a reason)
I’ll even start the negative examples with him giving up a 2nd round pick for Nyquist…The Brazeau move is FINALLY starting to pay off a little, but remember if we didn’t do it Marat would be of no help in this series…
We don’t know the full story on Rossi to say if he’s failed or succeeded with him yet…
On the positive side, we can now see his roster plan coming together for next season with the core of Kaprizov (assuming he re-signs) Boldy, Ek, Rossi, Brodin, Faber and the new kids Buium, Yurov, Jiricek, Ohgren, (Wallstedt hopefully back on track) likely all joining the roster and some $ to spend in free agency to patch the other holes…You can also see a gradual shift to getting bigger players with all of those kids over 6 feet tall…

I agree, it’s a lot to ask a college player (even a really good one) to jump right into the Stanley cup playoffs and play well.
He has a bright future it’s just not quite there yet. And clearly not playing him at all in OT was at the expense of Middleton, who made a fatal mistake.

I am starting to get a feeling Rossi is not part of the core moving forward. Just a feeling.

yeah, its not looking good and feels like its irreparable (from the fans perspective, maybe Rossi is fine having to prove himself over and over again?… GMBG needs to nail a trade so we’re not freaking out a few years down the road if he takes off (which we will anyways)
The crazy part is that it likely needs to be a trade for another center (who’s likely alot older) so its more of a trade for the next 2-4 years, not long term…
Or maybe Marco caves and accepts the $5 x 5 offer to stay…

Posts: 2309April 29, 2025 at 7:00 pm #2333057Would you take $5X5 as a 23 year old center who just posted 60 points in the NHL? No, me either. Billy low balled him. He will surely wind up in our conference if not our division so he can boost his stats against us much like Fiala has done. Billy doing Billy things.
April 29, 2025 at 7:31 pm #2333061Why do they falsely claim that game 5 starts at 8:30? It’s probably more like 8:53. More fake advertising I say
April 29, 2025 at 9:08 pm #2333071Lol, was typing out Kirill’s asking price dropped after that PP turnover…. Then he scores 8 seconds later to bump it back up

Posts: 9771April 29, 2025 at 9:24 pm #2333074It’s 2-1 in the first period. Wide open game so far. Great penalty kill, smart of Hynes to get them involved early
April 29, 2025 at 9:26 pm #2333075Gus looks good. 2014 Wild flashbacks with all this odd man rush passing. I would be the guy yelling shoot from the nosebleeds

April 29, 2025 at 9:44 pm #2333080The 5 forward PP finally bites us… no idea what Kirill was doing on the backcheck skating to Boldy’s guy…
2 bad turnovers and a bonehead challenge gave Vegas the lead and momentum…
April 29, 2025 at 10:06 pm #2333081It sure looks like Middleton’s hand is jacked… he can’t shoot… maybe explains his f’up last game…
April 29, 2025 at 10:11 pm #2333082Foligno WTF??
We just kill another penalty and he take a dumb Azz penalty seconds later.April 29, 2025 at 10:11 pm #2333083Jeepers our PK is just broken and clueless right now, Vegas just can’t capitalize on wide open players… wtf are our coaches?!?
Coaches finally adjusted
